Meet Andrew.
Diagnosed with autism and apraxia at 3 1/2 Andrew faced profound communication and sensory challenges. For years, everyone believed he couldn’t understand or express himself, but they were wrong. His mind was sharp, his thoughts deep, yet he struggled to communicate. Through intensive therapies and a sensory-neutral environment created by his family, Andrew began to find ways to connect. When traditional classrooms proved too overwhelming, his family developed the Star Room—a peaceful, autism-friendly space that allowed Andrew to thrive. Today, we have an even bigger breakthrough – Andrew communicates through a keyboard, typing out his brilliant thoughts, proving that with patience, understanding, and the right environment, even the most misunderstood voices can be heard.
